I love a good basic name for a pet and Mike is a great example.

Dad went with Fred, so Mom insisted spelling be

My mother told a great story about moving into a neighbourhood. Someone came up and told her that a cat had come into their yard and chased their dog up a tree. While the guy was describing the cat my mother realised it was ours. π―
But he doesn't seem to have been afraid of dogs; instead, dogs were afraid of him. So the article should read 'he gained notoriety for his interactions with ailurophobic canines.'
