All those challenges are being brought by regular people and blue state AGs. Congress is doing zilch, and Republicans are doing even less than zilch, to grab back the power Trump and Musk have tried to seize.

So let’s talk about framing. I know there’s a whole story here and I haven’t read it and the headline can’t convey all of it, but “ceding the power of the purse” implies an intentional decision on Congress’s part, a done deal, rather than Musk/Trump seizing the power and it being challenged in court
