I have a lot I disagree with The Body about, but this line isn't one of them. (Fun fact: He was also one of the driving forces trying to unionize the World Wrestling Federation back in the day!)
My teen years were similar but via my friends -- I had a weirdly sheltered media diet (I am *still* trying to figure out the logic underlying my parents' rules), then suddenly got to watch whatever I wanted that wasn't porn, and my friends showed me that I looooved action movies.
