As a lawyer I find the emblem for the Supreme Court very frustrating. The other nations are represented by flowers, whilst Cymru has the leaves of the leek. Unless you know, it is invisible. A daffodil would have been been as visible as the rose, the thistle and the flax flower!

Great article. This is something that Labour really needs to think about, both at a Welsh and a national level. There is plenty of discontent in Wales, even if it is not. Being channeled at some of the issues in this article.

Hello, Will. Schoolchildren in Wales were punished for speaking in Welsh right up until WW2 in some places. I guess you knew that but yes, Wales is still kept down.

I’m English, lived in Wales 30 years. Wales is too inward looking and too busy blaming England for its problems. An inevitable talentless Senedd as you say. Needs to focus more on how more inward investment can be achieved. If you painted a cat red someone would vote for it.

To be fair, the government in Westminster, England has been the cause of the majority of our problems.

Devolution was over 25 years ago, a 10-year transition to full independence would be logical.

I have been critical of the Senedd- but to suggest that it somehow has performed worse than Westminster the last few years is far of the mark in my view. There are systemic issues at the heart of UK democracy & is overcentralised bureaucracy which need to be addressed if its economy is to improve.
