FC2 blogs aren't impacted by this, and most content that people still link out to FC2 for (or even historically have linked out to) is not threatened by this change; it's a lot of legacy personal pages from the early aughts

yeah idk that most people looking for generalised posts from the l~15yrs will necessarily notice the loss, but there are pockets of specialised subculture info that never made it to the blogs that are bound to disappear

weirdly, the photo roll still has a ton of hangers-on, it seems

ya just to reiterate, the modern page/blog service ([handle].web.fc2.com) will remain, and it's the legacy sites ([handle].fc2web.com) that are going—odds are, anything you've read semi-recently was the former, and it's mostly specific vintage subculture stuff that's at risk
