Sound up!
I don’t know who needs to hear this right now, but 5 years after an organ donor saved my life, I overcame a sedentary & obese lifetime to run a half marathon at 11,000 ft to honor them.
You are stronger than you know.
Keep fighting.
And remember who you’re fighting for. 💚🇺🇸

When I awoke and felt this heart beating so strongly in my chest, I promised it I’d take it everywhere and do all the things, that I’d give it the life anyone would want for their child.
I hope they somehow know I’m keeping my promise. #donatelife
Sometimes as I run past these ancient boulders, I find comfort in being a tiny, unimportant part of everything. My troubles seem so small & I feel free. Truly free.
Or is someone controlling it?
Get out there and experiment though— we still need to get better at it. It has sooo much potential as a narrative device!
Get out there and live the heck outta this day— we’re burnin’ daylight! 💚
This is every bit as life changing for you as for me— I’m so happy for you!
You are a perfect illustration of one of my key mantras: Organ & tissue donation doesn’t just save lives. It TRANSFORMS them!
I hope you see something beautiful today. 💚
Recovery wasn’t easy— I’ve never known anyone who has led a charmed life. But wow, the hard work was (and continues to be) so worth it.
Glad we found each other here!
After a lifetime of being left behind athletically, I feel free. (Also I’m not fast and I don’t care!)
