Glad the rain stopped and the house seems dry! When everything has drained you might want to consider bringing in some fill and creating a small berm around that corner of the house.
Re watched the video, I suppose Merlin has the lay of the land and parks himself under the green chair if he doesn’t like the water-really incredible amount of water.
Same thing up here except we have about 3 inches of snow. My neighbor Libby across the street has puddles of rain in her driveway. Kind of surreal. I had to pump water from the basement but it will be okay.
It is 40 here it hasn't been 40 since I can't tell you when maybe December 31st

I didn't get much sleep last night. Watching to make sure the creek didn't creep up to my steps. Front yard was entirely flooded. Long driveway was like a bad current across it. Luckily rain stopped long enough to recede. Then high wind/heavy snow. Police/fire monitored thru night.
Oh my. I feel your pain. We’re next to a creek and have a finished basement and a crawl space. Two sumps. Flooded basement a few years ago. When it rains, I don’t sleep. Babysit the basement. And nothing says happiness bit hearing a sump pump go off.
