Fun Fact - Da is No in Polish, Tak is Yes.
Grew up in Chicago which has a larger Polish population than Warsaw. Mom's Dad was a Swedish Sailor, got a bit of Viking in me. Unfortunately Lake Michigan is the nearest body of water I've sailed on in decades.

Maybe Americans of Polish descent in Chicago have evolved some new dialect as there is no such a word in Polish as “da”. English “no” in Polish is “nie”. Russian has “da” and it actually means “yes”, not “no”.

Well, sure, there is “(nie) da się” which means “(not) possible” but that’s rather informal. There is also “da” as a form of “dawać” (“to give”) but that’s future tense, third person e.g. “on jej da to” - “he will give it to her”. But there is no standalone “da” that would mean anything.

Kurwa also written Kurva in some slavic languages like Czech, is a universal word. It can express anger, cursing, but also astonishment.

Use it as “Wow. Fuck!”.
