There were actually some really good matches in WWE during the Pandemic era, only because without a live audience fatigue wasn't an issue and they could essentially film matches like a movie. Not to mention they still had Ricochet and John Morrison. And AJ Styles was 5 years younger.

There were some real advantages to the pandemic era. If a match bombed in front of some crowd in Topeka that might be the end of a whole story and/or someone's push, without the crowd wrestlers could work more holds and talk right to the camera.

The pandemic era of wrestling seems like a whole damn fever dream. From the empty arenas of WWE, to lower card workers not actively wrestling that show being the audience in AEW, the Thunderdome, the Daly's Place residency (and that one odd month at the Nightmare Factory).
