Woooooaaaaahhhhh... Alexisonfire! This one is definitely considered a post-hardcore classic, and it was my introduction to the band 20ish years ago.

It has the perfect combination of shouty vocals from frontman George Pettit and the beautiful cleans from Dallas Green (with a wee bit of punky singing from Wade MacNeil, who is a bit more prominent on their later albums).

I struggle to choose a favourite between this and the follow-up 'Crisis'. There are some incredible tunes on this one though - No Transitory and Happiness By The Kilowatt being the stand-outs tracks for me.

The opener ‘Accidents’ is probably my favourite track but ‘No Transitory’ stands out too. Hell, the whole album is great.

They would play these free shows at Edge 102.1 in Toronto as they grew a base and put on some memorable shows there. Good times.
