Nigel Farage, dereliction of duty
This morning sees the important meeting of Clacton Town Board at 10.00 am.
This is one that the MP should attend and always did (see Attendance ‘expected’): https://tdcdemocracy.tendringdc.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=404&MId=2568&Ver=4
But guess where Clacton’s MP is? Florida, USA.

And in his budgie smugglers.
Yesterday in Westminster, MPs talked about incentivising people to work by threatening a reduction in benefits.
How about MP's being similarly incentivised by having their salary reduced if they don't show up and work for their constituents?
It's consistent with the argument that "good MPs can handle both", so even the right wouldn't have a leg to stand on against it.
Or at least being sanctioned in the same spirit as those on benefits are and having an amount equivalent to money earned from a 2nd/3rd/etc. job deducted from their MPs salary.
That Farage can be so brazen about deserting his duties shows how shambolic the current set up is.
