Ok. Just wanted to make sure before I said anything. I honestly want expecting a possession movie going in. That surprised me. I thought the cinematography was beautiful. The ending felt flat to me. Like it was unresolved. Thinking about Se7en. The story was over after the big reveal...
But there was a brief clip where Freeman said that they'd take care of him. There was something dealing with what had happened. In Longlegs you're just left hanging. That's the point I guess, but I don't like it.
I was also surprised that Longlegs was so detached from all the murders. I liked that.
It fell super flat for me too. I feel like they still could’ve done something cool with the religious/supernatural stuff without it being as lame as it was. I was so invested to start and then it just felt like a cop out ending. Like they didn’t know how to end it.
