Growing up the most offensive sitcom I was forbidden to watch was Married with Children because of how perverse and immoral it was. What is wild to me is that a man who makes Al Bundy look like a saint now is a hero to many of those same people.

Introduce yourself using •one book •one movie •one album •one tv show

My FB has evolved into snake content and I love it. Still. People getting face to face with (and even kissing???) cobras is crazy.

Dinner tonight. Homemade creamy chicken noodle soup with broccoli.

Sympathy says I'm sorry. Empathy weeps with those who weep and mourns with those who mourn. Empathy is the only thing Job's friends did well.

Over at Sub-Creations, I have begun a series of articles examining the concept of virtue presented in Rudyard Kipling's poem "If." If You Can Make It Through Some Poetry amymantravadi.substack.com/p/if-you-can...

Colorado Ballet is putting on a production of Alice in Wonderland in a few weeks. I'm in Charlotte now. Sad.

I think it might be time for an X-Files watch soon.

Nice. Seattle getting behind my giving up a shorty. Peak Seattle style.

Somehow my Facebook feed has become a happier place than the old bird site. My feed is filled with music, food, ballet, horror movies (lately), and Seattle sports stuff with minimal politics. About as many ads as Twitter has bots, but still. A solid improvement from a few years ago.

I don't really dream but today I woke up to one where I was holding a cobra by the neck trying not to get bit and no one was around to help. Does this mean I need therapy?

Tonight's movie. Bone Tomahawk.

Time to watch Longlegs.

Excited about this. :)

It's a Jurassic Park type of day.

Finally getting around to watching Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves tonight? Sounds like a good time.
