The Flow Oscar statue is exhibited at the Latvian National Museum of Art and people are waiting for more than an hour to see it!

Since I do modern/contemporary literature, I talk to my students a lot about how prize culture is *fallible*, but fallible is different from meaningless. Sometimes prizes can elevate mediocre stuff, but also, sometimes it brings a wider audience to really great work that might fly under the radar.
