Spec Ops: The Line is a MASTERCLASS in video game storytelling. It shouldn't have gotten lost as another 'military shooter'.
It challenged you to question the use of war as entertainment and made you feel awful for your actions. It was dark. It was thought provoking.
And it deserved better.

This game was actually important as it advocated for anti war and PTSD awareness.
Whole game is and still is one of the greatest games
By the end of the game you become an angry uncaring soldier that contrasts how he behaved at the beginning which he was calm and professional.
If I recall, Spec Ops The Line didn't use that line, but naming the main villain "Conrad" (or was it "Konrad"?) just made the allusions more blatant.
"This is all your fault"
"Do you feel like a hero yet?"
"How many Americans have you killed today?"
Im still convinced that Walkers two squad mates are both sides of his conscience. The both of them arguing after the phosphorus scene...

That white phosphorus scene made me puke in disgust of everything. So far, this is the only game which made me do that.
It was a good game!
Plus, any game spinning Mogwai's jam Glasgow Mega Snake is immediately notable in my eyes lol.
