If someone posts about liking a game, did you know that you can disagree and NOT be a jerk about it?
For example, instead of:
"Nah, these games are TRASH!"
Just say:
"These games weren't enjoyable for me, but I'm glad you enjoyed them!"
Positivity isn't toxic, it's just nice. Be nice.

Comments
I’d rather not comment at all if I don’t dig it because it isn’t constructive in my eyes.
Only exception is if I’m in direct conversation with someone about gaming and an opinion is warranted.

Seriously, just ask if we can switch to something with a different vibe without labeling something I enjoy listening to as trash.
I live in reality. I know even my best friends wouldn't agree with me on everything.
I won't get mad because of opinion, even if harsh, about entertainment, as it's subjective to the individual.
There's a lot of things I don't like, but it would take effort to track down conversations revolving around them and putting myself in a bad headspace for what? 🤷
It is genuinely easy to just not be a dick.
I basically tell people who say things like “game is trash” is the equivalent of dropping a turd in a crowded room and running away.
Cowardly and toxic -
show your work! Give details on WHY you hate!
You have your opinion and I have mine.
We’re entitled to that.
I’m willing to hear you out, but I really don’t want to get down in the gutter with you.
Everything affects and moves people differently and I don’t expect everyone to love what I love.
Like grow up! it’s so unnecessary especially when there’s something for everyone and for all tastes!
Let people enjoy what they enjoy and you enjoy what you enjoy.
We might find common ground and be able to have and share similar experiences but even then there might be certain aspects of a game or movie or song or etc you liked/loved but it did nothing for me and vice versa.
That’s totally fine and normal!
I did that recently with my post about Infinity Nikki
TL/DR
I don’t think it’s for me, but I understand the appeal and even like some of the gameplay elements. I’m passing on it for now for other games I REALLY want to play, hope you enjoy it but maybe down the road I’ll try it.
The correct thing to do is say nothing.
Great post.
People might not mean it but it's very condescending after awhile.
"I wasn't a fan of this, but I did try this and I liked it. Have you tried it?" etc.
But yes, keeping it to yourself is also good.
It's the people that feel the need to tell you and persuade you as to why your wrong...
Just say, "Cool! I've never liked that kind of game myself. "
Or, "Really? I tried that but couldn't get into it. "
If you're feeling bold, you can go the extra mile and ask them what they like about it.
You might learn something.
This isn't that complicated, people!
I'm looking at you, America. :P
What do you think would happen if everytime we see a negative comment like that, we comment and share how to reframe their statement with compassion?
It exists.
Sorry j/k 😉
Did I do it right?
Then I'm like ew gtfo
I'm always curious to hear out people whenever they have a deep feeling for a game weather it's good or bad
