Kingdoms of Amalur was ruined by the developer which was a retired baseball player that wanted to make a perfect game. It's a great game that had tons of quality people pour their talent into but the developer lied and screwed it all up. The state of Rhode Island sued him I believe.

A big fan of the epic, I wanted to love Dante, but it was little more than a gross God of War clone. Name it, "[someone else] Inferno" and I'd have no problem. But, I might dig a Yakuza-style open world sequel where you help everyone become their best selves as you climb the mountain of Purgatory.

I loved a lot of the 6th & 7th gen games that felt like AA experiences. One that I remember loving a whole lot was a third person game called "Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy." It had such a great use of in game physics, and some wild things you could do with the psi powers

Dante's Inferno was a lot of fun and it came out during an era where you had a lot of "not god of war" hack and slash games that were also really good. Big fan of that one.

I liked Inferno, but it felt like they rushed it out at the end. It takes a marked nosedive just past the halfway point. They start recycling enemies that don't really belong in the later levels of hell. If they had maintained the game would be legendary

I’m familiar with Vanquish and Inferno, but never heard of the other two. Honestly, the box art could be one of the reasons they didn’t sell well. Especially Binary Domain. But I’ve heard nothing but good things about Vanquish. It’s a shame when a good game doesn’t get the support it deserves.

I think Kingdom of Amulur didn’t get marketed properly, or enough because I didn’t hear of this game and it had an all star team working on it from Todd McFarlane, Mark Nelson and Ken Rolston from Bethesda, and Grant Kirkhope among others. Great game too!

This was the gen of online play. Basically all the air in the room was taken up by CoD and the games trying to copy it. If your game didn't have online play it got ignored by a lot of the populace even if the critics talked about and praised it.
