The more bright and colorful a retro game is, the more I want to play it lately.
Maybe it's just the state of the world these days, but there's something so happy and relaxing about this vibe for me.
And you just can't beat those bright blue skies! ποΈπ

Sonic adventure, windwaker and Mario sunshine are AMAZING
So much easier on my eyes when everything pops. Good vibes too.
My reasoning is just "because"..lol.
I hear you, something about it just makes you smile as soon as it comes into view, especially on a title screen
It just gives you that warm fuzzy safe feeling that makes you feel right at easy when playing games. We used to find SEGA did a great job with their color pallet with their sky's in Arcade games, but Nintendo have proven to pull this off too. It's a comforting aesthetic
That makes a lot of sense now. Thanks for sharing the info
I've had all the Sega consoles since I was 12. Started with the Master System and ended with the Dreamcast... loved all of them.
Escape from the city π
I loved the shit out of Blue Storm. One of my first GC games!
EnDOLPHINS? π
FFX looking at you.
I definitely miss Wind Waker the most. I just wish it was available on current gen.
