Only problem I have with it, is that it was exclusive to Wii U, and I barely played it for that reason. If they re-release it on Switch, I would buy it again.

I never had a problem with them but I just felt it's unnecessary. The gamecube game aged like a fine wine, and even going back to the original release today it still looks wonderful 💜

Even though I only played the GameCube version, I'm just glad the Wii U update made that godawful Triforce quest way more bearable and included the faster sailing.

I love Wind Waker, but those things needed to be fixed, much like how 3DS Ocarina of Time fixed the Water Temple.

It was terrific, and absolutely holds up today.
Sadly my gamecube went the way of my dreamcast. You'd have thought I'd have learnt my lesson by now and stop lending stuff (see also my PS2 and about 500 books)

I think the bloom is a bit excessive in some areas, but other than that, it's fine. I'm probably in the minority of not liking the fast sail since it makes the Great Ocean feel small. That and I really like the sailing in the game.

I love both styles, the biggest factor for me is the GamePad. Wind Waker utilises its items immensely well, which means having to swap them constantly. The second screen removed this annoyance.

The other changes are great, too.

Honestly the two screens on Wii U was such a boon to games like Zelda or RPGS. Just a second little screen for your map and inventory so you can enjoy the visuals more on the big screen. The Wii U was a brilliant console.

I think the Wind Waker HD was a good example of a remaster done right. It almost looked like a remake just thanks to how they handled the lighting.

This being said, I sorta wish Twilight Princess HD got more than what it did. The graphics for that one were rough with the only changes being redrawn

Agreed, the update is absolutely beautiful. It doesn't detract from the original in any way, just presents a work of art to new generations. Anyone who holds hate for that needs to grow up.
