It's not just entitled toffs that hunt - don't fall into the class war trap. Many of the hunt gang members are poorly educated knuckle-draggers who enjoy digging animals out of setts to kill, or setting their terriers on them. The toffs just add a veneer of respectability to the general perverseness

Are you a fan of rats? Because the surest way of increasing the rat population is to kill foxes. Rats, mice and squirrels are the staples of their diet. So in fact foxes do serve an important ecosystem function. (Squirrels are cute but do serious damage by gnawing and destroying trees.)

Foxes are not animals? Biologically, of course they are.
The slur "vermin" is just an attempt to couch your prejudices in terms that sound like taxonomy. Humans, their pets and their livestock are major vectors of disease. They have sickened and destroyed more wildlife than the other way around.
