They paved paradise, Put up a parking lot. Paradise said: That hurt, but let me tell you about geologic time

I love how Brits call parking lots "car parks" it makes it sound so fun and playful for the cars. Like there is this little oasis with roads and fun little activities for vehicles. Parking lot is more honest, thought "urban space use failure" would be even better. (at least in dense cities)

Strolling through Winchester at lunchtime for a dog walk. The many beautiful parks that border the River Itchen are so calm and peaceful. The river is one of the finest examples of chalk bed rivers in the world, the water crystal clear as it is ‘filtered’ by the chalk. 😊 #nature #river #trees #calm

I really do hate the usage of the word "stock" to describe the number of fish/whales etc in the sea. It makes it sound as though they just sit on a supermarket shelf until we decide we want them. They are essential & beautiful parts of an ecosystem, not spare parts that need a human to have purpose!

I would be interested to know if there are other National Trust members who would be interested in putting a motion to the AGM to ditch Charles Windsor as as a patron and if there has bern any commentary on how little benefit this is. Also we could do with some good graphic memes on the subject!

The right and far-right parties in France's general assembly on Thursday approved a moratorium on new wind and solar projects. "It's devastating," commented the Minister for Industry, Marc Ferraci. "What was adopted, I say with seriousness and solemnity, is perfectly irresponsible."
