👋🏻 yep, my divorce was largely previous precipitated by my ex-H realizing he did not want to be with a disabled person (my words, not his fwiw) despite having represented very much the opposite to me for our previous years together

No one asked but, something that helped myself and my partner is giving me the non-daily chores and the chores that can be put off for a few days(for us) if needed.

My chronic illness makes MY life hell and I don't need it to make THEIRS hell too, so this compromised worked well for us.

I have a guy who does this once a fortnight. Disability insurance pays, but he is an absolute legend and comes to do all the stuff I can’t. Happily. He actually likes helping. I did not know people like him existed.
