I never saw him before we lost him. I found him through his collaboration with Ani DiFranco. I raised all six of my kids on his songs and stories. When we are in the car sometimes one will just start singing "Solidarity Forever", or "Dump the Bosses Off Your Back". Soon everyone has joined in.

My mom worked at Caffe Lena's (a coffe house/folk music venue) and I ended up working there from 8-11 when Lena died. She paid mr $2/night to walk people to their tables. lol I met so many amazing singers and was surrounded by badass folk music. It was amazing. Tom Chapin was my favorite though.

I don't think it's ever a given, but it was foreseeable. This is the same technique in a modern tech guise. The cunning and malicious have always used an understanding of the nature of people to manipulate the masses.

And they have always been toppled by their lack of understanding of the nature of the persons. They think everyone is like them but not as good. They fail to recognize their sickness and the strength of will in their resistors.
