I am not advocating sending death threats to people. I don't think that's something you should do. But having seen forums yanked apart by trolls, I can say that few things drive people up the wall more than mods taking the fake hurt of a troll seriously.

no, the point of moderators is to foster a positive environment. When half your board has the other half blocked and people abandon a thread the moment a Singal style troll shows up, you've failed as a moderator.
