So, lets say he runs. (I don’t buy it, but for the sake of argument, I’ll assume.) There’s a primary process that is two years long, easily. We’ll know pretty quickly. Lawsuits immediately in most states. Losses immediately. Appellate losses follow. SCOTUS agrees.

Those lawsuits aside, too many states would simply refuse to let him even be on a ballot and the math just wouldn’t math. He sues to get on the ballot. He loses those lawsuits.

Yes, that’s my concern. Of course the law will try to stop him. But whether they succeed or don’t, if he has the support and his side has all the guns, it’s not to matter what the courts did.

I do think the biggest concern with another potential January 6 is that he has stacked federal law enforcement leadership with people who likely would order the rank and file to use lethal force on the side of insurrection.

He’ll try to use the military and militias. Even if he legally loses and leaves the White House, he will still control all the militias and potentially the military. If he’s alive in 2028, he will almost certainly hold more power than any other American, whether legally the President or not.
