The new Behringer 2-XM looks like fun — and it’s 35% more expensive than Behringer synths have been in the past, explicitly because of Trump Tarrifs. $252 in the EU (Thomann), $399 in the USA (Sweetwater). Wild that Trump has single-handedly forced a budget synth maker to sell at mid-tier prices.

I have no idea if what Cory Booker is doing is useful at all — but damn it’s nice to see someone trying *something*.

There is a media strategy here, no doubt. That’s the reason to talk about it *now*. But are we really going to assume that the man who spent all of 2018-2020 saying he wouldn’t leave office peacefully (and then did not) is suddenly going to walk away at the end of his term with no drama? C’mon, man.

Trump spent much of his first term refusing to say that he would leave office peacefully if he lost — then he lost, and he did not go peacefully. Now, he’s spending a lot of time telling us he’s going to run for a third term. We should believe him. He will run. What are we going to do about it?

#teslatakedown in South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle. This location USED to be open on Saturday mornings, but now there are protestors in front of it every week, it’s now open by appointment only.

First thing I do on any app I join is figure out how to get blocked by @bretweinstein.bsky.social.

Seems like the people I care to follow are really starting to coalesce around Bluesky, so I guess I’ll try using this thing. Here primary to pester @robertwrighter.bsky.social and @iwriteok.bsky.social, my two parasocial bestie Roberts who have no idea who I am.
