A brilliant photographer. I had the honour of meeting him in the 70s. He used just a basic box camera and an artist's eye to create some haunting images.
Yep. I think a lot of that has been lost in the race for 'technology' An all singing, all dancing camera won't make you necessarily a better photographer
One of my favorites. I wish there was more of his stuff in print. I have a battered copy of Haunter of Ruins. And Prophet Without Honor is somewhere on my TBR mountain.
Interestingly, I discovered his work back in the mid 90s when some of his photos were used in the booklet for this album. (Also I'm 99% certain that I added the section about Laughlin to this Wikipedia page 20+ years ago)
