Not unable. Unwilling. Unmotivated. Not unable. They do not want to dedicate the time and cognitive energy to complex ideas. I would say this used to be true for 1/3 of students now it’s at least 2/3. Even some really smart talented kids are looking to work “smarter, not harder”
