Finally home after an absolutely horrific journey on Eurostar
First train delayed over 75 mins, second train delayed by 60 minutes
Conductor on latter said,"There were no trains available in the vicinity of Brussels"
Why doesn't Eurostar have suitable contingency plans?

We need higher standards, domestic and international, one not being as bad as the other doesn't mean we can't call it out, we should call it all out 🙏
Not as funny at the time though 👀
Don't get me wrong I love the idea of hopping on a train to reach mainland Europe but I find when things go wrong they need better services-solutions
Also reopen Ashford and Ebbsfleet. No fun having to go up to St. P just to go back down to Folkestone when we have two stations in Kent for that purpose.
And the possibility of being stuck in a different city in Holland to the one we were staying in on account of the connection
Or, in Brussels, the second connection
Wasn't the best, especially given my colleague and I both live in the UK
I thought our delays were bad, yours, overnight on the train 😱
