Galaxycon posted the full panels from Richmond and at both panels I felt I got to answer some really good questions! This one I wanted to clip because I feel like it was something I was able to articulate! The full panel is on youtuuube! ❤️

I agree wholeheartedly. There's a balance and that balance will of course look different to different people, but it's ultimately up to the creator of any media what they continue to do. You can take advice or ideas from fans or others, but it's still YOUR creation and YOUR decision.
People to appreciate it will continue to watch and people who don't can find something else (or just be bitter) or make something themselves and see what happens if they want something different. If you don't become popular or lose popularity, at least you're still doing your own thing and can be
Really really good answer. Even though I'm not an avid fan of the show (I watch it on and off), I have a strong respect for you as a creator and I really do enjoy what I have seen, even if I have a few hangups. Look forward to seeing where this show goes next!
Great response V! At the end of the day, I do love the show, the fan community and all the work you guys do. Hell it even pushed me to get into creativity work for my enjoyment in my spare time. :)
The do right to your characters is what gets me, I think is the right path in general. And I know there are a lot of angry people that slander you because they're mad you won't do their fanfiction, but I think you are strong to maintain your drive and passion. I find that so motivating on your part.
Hell yeah you go I will always support you remember when I first watched I fell in love with the story about the characters I know it comes as no surprise but the best character you ever made in my opinion is loona and bee keep going I'll be there when no one else likes the show I'll still watch it
I love that answer so much and I’m so glad that you’re putting yourself first when it comes to telling your stories over anything the fans could want for/of your show.
100% this forever. One story cannot be all things for all people, and the ones that try end up being about nothing. We're trained to think of stories as something you buy, or have some sort of ownership over, that the creator owes their audience a story they want, not what the creator wants to say.
And it's backwards. Having a story not go the way you'd hoped, or have it not be done the way you would have done it, can be disappointing, but no creator owes anyone their personal fantasy. We're listening to someone tell *their* story and it can be a way to understand experiences not our own.
Creators don't owe you *your* story, they can't possibly know what that is. But anyone brave enough to tell their own story their own way, and have to touch people they don't even know, that's important. Nobody can do that but them, and nobody can tell your story but *you*.
