Kiwi men by nature don’t like the spotlight so are likely to avoid public leadership but it means that men like Seymour, Bishop and Luxon step into that void. Identifying genuine community leaders and supporting them into public roles would be a good place to start.

This is such important kōrero, and it often gets swept under the “woke” rug so populist politicians don’t have to address it. Social media/politics has become overtly hostile to women and Queer politicians, and it’ll take our collective effort to change it. Thank you for all of your mahi!
