I’ve known that I was transfem since I was at least 4 yrs old, but my family, peers and educators have tried to beat and shame me out of it.
I’m slowly working through my past, and while I recognize that I’ve been a victim of “the system” in multiple ways, I am most familiar with the trans struggle of how transfem folks are viewed as “having privilege” or “being socialized male” when some of us never really had those options
Gender systems PRODUCE gender, they don’t describe it. And the process of that production necessarily begins with childhood.

To add insult to injury, doctors, conversion therapists, and 'psychoanalysts' will use that trauma against them.
Suspicious overlap with many who are anti-sex ed where sex ed is one of the best tools we have against domestic sexual abusers.
