They ran on helping first time home buyers (nobody can afford a down payment) and parents.of very young kids. As a percentage of the population that's basically nobody.
I disagree. Those are real problems that need addressing. Bringing costs down and a stimulated economy. It’s not nothing. Maybe not enough but it’s not nothing and infinitely better than the alternative.
They are real problems, none of that would have helped me or most Americans. And they were clearly not enough to convince most Americans. So I am not really sure what your point is.
They are. And they didn't offer anything to make any meaningful difference. Not that they would have kept their word anyway. You're right what they offered was not nothing, it was another term of declining conditions for working class people. They have to give up their wealthy donors for change.
That’s just a full out and out lie that got Trump elected. Disinformation about the goals and aims of the Biden administration’s policies. I didn’t agree with offensive weapons sales to Israel but I’m not stupid enough not stupid enough to fall for the genocide Joe bullshit.
Badly! Democrats lost by prioritizing genocide over defeating Trump. Things are shit now, and they look like crooked, craven morons. You should probably follow the news more closely, pal.
You spelled incrementalism that would never be delivered wrong. Did you really expect people who were already struggling before the Biden term, even worse off at the end, to believe anything they said after the last promises were quickly forgotten?
I’ve listened to most of Ezra’s podcast barn storming for his book. What he’s saying about California and other liberal states needing to expedite construction for housing and mass transit makes complete sense. Ben Shapiro victory lapping on it does not.
It does if it's just a fig leaf for a dereg agenda that will be used for pipelines and highways and billionaire spaceports but only incidentally benefit housing and transit if at all.
