I was considering attending SCG Portland next weekend but I don’t think that will happen. Local game stores have already started to adjust their prices. If it didn’t feel like a privilege to afford to play MTG, it does now…

A. 10% tariff on card games/playing cards is gonna hit magic and
B. I don't really wanna buy US product rn anyways.
But I guess it just freed up some funds to get an AP or playmat instead
Sorry you've been forced into this! I'm probably going to have to cancel my own trip to C2E2 in April, though only for vacation, instead of work, it's still disappointing. You have to keep yourself safe!

We don't have beef with you either, in fact every Canadian I know is full of grief over what's been happening. Hopefully things will regain some normalcy soon, whatever that means.

I'm sad I won't get to see you and everyone, the community has been so uplifting to me. I'm very nervous for a lot of the marginalized members of the Magic community, I hope it stays a welcoming space. I hope things stabilize soon, and I can make it to events in the near future.
You come first, always remember that. As an American, it's not safe for us, let alone others coming here right now. Plus, don't put any money towards us, send a very clear message that their actions have consequences, and we'll be here to support you through it
