Yup infiltration of the Sole of foot is agony and not necessary. Block you need Sural nerve for sole, which looks easy on videos but I find tricky. Any tips.

I do tibial nerve for medial & lateral Plantar nerve coverage,
Sural nerve would do lateral part of foot - I wasn’t sure about sole innervation.

I block it posterior lateral part of ankle near Achilles tendonby short saphenous vein

So useful, I did just tibial at the ankle for a patient with complex pain for a FB removal. Worked so well.

Motor block associated with a Femoral block can be of real benefit in the trauma patient
I would ask the question as to whether the patient was going to need their quads for a few hrs?
