it’s funny how it legitimately feels like the world is a horrible degrading place but at the same time the best it’s ever been in human history overall… i guess the two can coexist since every peak has its fall

yeah, anecdotal experience is why everybody thinks the music that was popular when they were teens is the “best era” of music haha.. we have to just trust that the world is becoming a better place even if it doesn’t seem like that sometimes

As a historian, I can confirm that the world is a better place. Better being the operative word.
