I've been on Bluesky for only 3 weeks, but I'm already so grateful for it.
It's really nice to have conversations again. X felt like every commenter was in the midst of a road rage episode.
I forgot what it felt like to hear normal voices on the internet again.

Comments
Now, I read each and every comment & 99% of them are just normal thoughts & reactions.
Some people are mildly snarky. But otherwise generally human. 😅
Oh god the twitter comments… 20 blue tick unrelated replies and then under that, bots and rage. Miss me with that
But otherwise 99% of my comments have been from real people. 😀
The bigger the account, the harder it is to keep up with moderation.
I talk about it here:
And gaslighting people about every common sense thing that we all know to be true was a constant.
On the internet, there’s no filter.
I’ve many times told people that I blocked them online because they spoke to me in a way that I wouldn’t tolerate in real life.
Also, I hear the echo chamber thing and think, I wouldn’t put up with some of this stuff in the real world, why would I put up with it here. Life’s too short.
But my real self isn't an asshole. Not in real life or on the internet.
When I hate people, I ignore them & lean into people I prefer.
I've done that on the internet for 20 years as well.
Trolling is sad & miserable.
