As an Iowan, this is absolutely ridiculous. Iowa is a prime example of how this upcoming administration's failures are going to play out. Our healthcare is non-existent, medical professionals are leaving the state in droves, our public schools are being actively sabotaged and destroyed, and our
state government is a fascist embarrassment in the pocket of the corporations. We used to be a leader in the progressive policies of this country, and between Branstad, Reynolds, Ernst, and Grassley, they have destroyed any hope for advancement and excellence that we've ever had. It's truly shameful
I’m a MinneIowan. I live in both Iowa City and Northfield, MN. I’ve watched the quality of life in Iowa disintegrate while Minnesota keeps rising. This is the *dumbest* GOP (national) strategy I’ve ever seen. What, exactly, is their evil endgame?
Democrats need to accept the fact that Republicans have already declared war on Democrats and they think all is fair in love and war. The Democrats seekinging bipartisan agreements at this point is a joke.
If the Pete Hegseth confirmation hearings didn't make the point clear enough, Minnesota has its share of horribleness, same as any other state in the Union or Confederacy.
True, but it's marginally less awful. My squishy and I can still get our gender care, health insurance that covers stuff and taxpayer funded highway snow removal. Which is more than I can say about some of our neighbors...
Then again the ex-moderate Republican Hockey Jock is my congressman... 🤮
What the flucking fluck? The lunatics have taken over the asylum, but they're even more off their rockers (incredibly) than we imagined. This all gets worse every stinking minute.

Maybe inspired by all those petitions to let states secede after Obama was elected.
Since STATE constitutions prevent secession but there's no language to prevent COUNTY secession.
Is it they're afraid of the books, or was the coffee too hot?
No?
🤷🏽♀️

'Marginally less awful' is a good way to put it.. not great, but people are trying and we have some successes as long as we can keep them.
Worried about 2026 and after, though.
Money is behind this concept and I would love to know whose.
anyway, sorry this guy needed some press exposure and this is how he went about it. someone find him a cookie. thanks
Iowa state legislature.
Still unpleasant.. and who's paying for this?
