If the Guardian is your best hope of "honest journalism" in the UK it's no wonder people have no trust in the press. They engaged in a 5 year disinformation war against the Leader of the Opposition, and simply can never be trusted again.

That requires education via socialisation. And that requires responsible management. Perhaps an investment, maybe a government investment.
I think we need to define what a ‘free press’ is and how it is regulated.
Free speech should require the speaker to accept the consequences of their actions, to take responsibility for what they say.
