But he is wrong? Ethnic cleansing wasn't a term "we" made up in the 1990s. The Soviets were using it in the 1980s, and not about Yugoslavia.

Critically, I reject the argument over “ethnic cleansing” as a term worth debating because I reject the entire underlying premise that we should entertain, let alone orchestrate ourselves, the wholesale removal of an ethnic people from their historical lands.
