NYT-‘An increase of that magnitude would be a record and underscore the ideological flexibility that many Republicans are willing to embrace when they are in power’ it’s not a complimentary article & includes this factoid-treasury dept will run out of money by summer’s end & be unable to pay bills
Not sure hypocrisy really covers it. It's almost like they always run on Democratic failures that are usually the result of stupid policies the previous Republican policies created.
Every single time those fucks get in office the deficit spikes, and every single time a Democrat gets in the deficit gets lowered. People really, really need to start calling it like it is and tell Republicans they're fucking lying when they say they're "fiscally responsible."
The "ideological flexibility" to shut down the federal government because we can't afford SNAP benefits, but also to run full-steam ahead into several trillion dollars of debt to cut taxes on the guys who already have all the money.
Don’t worry, they’ll sell public land to international corps and themselves to pay for some of it. Sure, we’ll wave bye-bye to national parks sold for crumbs and tax break incentives, but helping the rich and connected (again) to line trump’s pockets (again) is really great for their* economy.

Did they hire someone whose job is to diminish things for the regime?
So where's that conservative spending restraint?
Personally, I can't even call it hypocrisy - it's willful, knowing, and deliberate.
They have two sets of values.
The values forced on those they have power over.
And the values that they themselves choose to follow.
"underscore ideological flexibility" is just astonishingly weak language.
Dems need to flex like the country is all MN and get a majority and run with it.
And they said the media has a liberal bias 🤦🏼♂️
