yes, but also judicial rulings have to be followed and Congress is supposed to make laws which the President then takes care to faithfully execute (see Art. 2, Sec. 3). But those things aren't happening either, so why not accept EOs as laws too?

EOs have legal power only over the executive branch of government. Trump can order the executive branch to do anything constitutionally authorized for the executive branch to do as it is an independent co-equal branch of government. Biden more defiant of the constitution in his EOs btw.

We should both examine it. Depends on what we consider constitutional. Biden’s orders on student debt forgiveness (only congress has authority). Biden’s EOs related to climate change (no authority in the Constitution for anything related to climate) are examples.

The President cannot make laws. Only Congress can make laws. The President can direct federal employees on how to interpret the laws that are unclear or conflicting. Every EO (even the shitty Trump ones) contains the phrase: "in accordance with applicable law." The EO is not a law!
