A federal judge on Thursday said he will order the Trump administration to preserve records of a text message chat in which senior national security officials discussed sensitive details of plans for a U.S. military strike against Yemen’s Houthis.

The point should be made that all such records are to preserved, even if secret as per national records acts. It is NORMAL. That a judge has to order demonstrates another act of lawlessness by this admin...one that The Quisling R's stand by silent and watch
What makes any Judge think Trumpf gives a damn about what they say or order? He will, and has, ignored the judiciary since Jan 20th…who the hell do the Judiciary think will enforce their judgements, when his appointed lackeys head the FBI and armed forces? Like shouting at clouds.
Not sure what good this order does. Everyone in the chat was probably told to “accidentally hit delete” as soon at The Atlantic published what it said.
I don't get it. Over and over and over again, Trump ignores court orders and nothing ever happens to him. Why are we still even going through the motions?
I can hear their responses now. I do not recall where I left my phone. I was unaware that we were supposed to preserve it. I was on a scheduled upgrade so I couldn’t keep the phone. My phone was stolen by a Venezuelan gang member.
By federal law, every administration must keep and preserve records of government communications, not just "a text message chat in which senior national security officials discussed... a U.S. military strike" and we already know Republicans violate that law continuously.
The judge sounds irrelevant.

yes and this is how we find out for sure! and how the courts (eventually, yes it’s slow) sanction them for it
Not one person in that room said "we should not be chatting about national security interest in this chatroom"
They all failed
The judge sounds irrelevant.
