If you work for Sainsbury's, would you go on Asda's social media & insult them? No. So why do you go on your rival football team's accounts. No wonder people think football fans are morons

I think you may misunderstand the reasons why people work for Sainsbury's and perhaps the reaction of their PR/HR teams when it comes to continued paid employment.
Nick Pope day was a great day.
Football and supermarkets all came together to celebrate a very tall keeper who isn’t very good with the ball at his feet.
Whenever I go on the shit hole formerly known as Twitter and read some racist's timeline they'll have football, boxing or some other tribalist sport mixed in with the racist stuff. So moronism comes with the territory.
I'm not saying all fans are this way or even the majority but there is a tribalist aspect to it that attracts morons who perceive everything in terms of us vs them.
People don't generally have to work for their football club. They don't get forced into overtime on a Friday night cus Karen is off with a cough and no one else can run the fish counter. Work is not something people find a lot of joy in. People do find immense joy in calling other people cunts
