I think you mean non-social. Anti-social running would be more akin to knocking other runners into ditches, or kicking the backs of their feet so they'd trip.
I like the low overheads. No transport. Barely any equipment. No coordinating time with a team. Start at your front door whenever you like. 10 minutes shower and change when you return.
Spoiled me really. I'd like to swim instead, but the effort of finding the right session, booking it and being there at that specific time is beyond my enthusiasm.
Swimming has all the benefits of OP without being sweaty and dealing with shit weather while exercising your whole body. As you say, though, it's the effort of actually going for the swim.
I’m lucky enough to live near a sports centre which has a poolside health suite. It’s easier to psych myself up to make the effort to swim when I know I can lounge in the steam room and sauna afterwards.
