any time my bf or i (HUUUUUGE ska fans) hear literally anything with horns we point at it and go “ska”, up to and including full orchestras because of exactly this

i get bothered by that and also when people say stuff like "it's punk reggae" and i sadly have to pull out my history of ska documents to explain how there is ska that is NOT influenced by punk and how ska actually predates reggae etc. etc.
