My rescue, sadly gone after 16 yrs, never saw the point of balls or toys. She just wanted to hang out with us whatever we were doing without being obsessive. She was the neatest, tidiest, no hassle dog.

Rescues are great! I wish I could take them all. My husband’s patience and interventions has turned a rescued dog that was bred to kill other dogs, into a wonderful member of our family who we love.

Years ago, we rescued a “bait dog” small puppies and small dogs that are used to rile up fighting dogs. She was so sweet but afraid of everything. I’m just happy. I gave her a good life and it all wasn’t about terror and pain. They should’ve thrown those people into the pit with those dogs.
