First off, I’m sorry for the widow. Her grief is real and I want to honor that but I’m scratching my head thinking of a reason for publishing this beyond crass clickbait. It’s shameful to use someone’s suffering in such a way.
I don’t get a pay wall. The synopsis: They travelled widely and had just started settling in Portugal when her husband died of a heart attack. She has decided to stay on in Portugal and rebuild her life there rather than returning to the U.S.
As someone who lost my husband suddenly when I was only 52 and he was only 48, I sympathize greatly with her. The trauma and grief, especially after an unexpected death, is immense and you don’t know how to get through each & every day. That being said, most people in that situation don’t have
the type of lifestyle that allows you to deal with the grief without having to struggle financially. I’m wondering why CNN wasted space to tell the story of a woman who is privileged and doesn’t have these everyday survival concerns. .

He suffered a heart attack and died.
The title made me think it was something related to Portugal.
