I love these warnings about what can increase your chance of dying. I guess they left out the part about how we will all die, the question is how long will we live healthy.
I think there has been so much information that shows its harmful, but I wonder if the increased use of GLP-1 medications will actually increase the consumption of these drinks.
Thank you, the article that you posted says “In general, sugar substitutes are safe for healthy adults.”
If you’re avoiding sugar and don’t want the added empty calories, go with the zero sugar options.

When drinks are iced, or hot -- the temperature extremes can make it harder to assess how much sugar is in them. Like when you taste melted ice cream, it's sickly-sweet -- but you don't notice that when you're eating the frozen stuff.
“I’ll be god damned if my tax dollars go to trans people and abortions! Now, where’s my free dialysis and my rascal for the diabetes that I acquired at age 24 from my 7 big gulp a day habit of Dr Pepper and ranch dressing?!”
I am going to say that - in general - sugar is bad for you. Processed foods have a lot of sugar so when you think you are eating a salad with dressing (potato, coleslaw etc.) from the supermarket deli think again. It's all packed with sugar and preservatives.
Dude, in every country it's cheaper than drinking Coca-Cola or other processed s***, if you can't afford water then you pretty much f***** cuz you can't afford sugary drinks either
And water comes in bottles too
Do the research: there are boil water advisories in almost all US states and Canadian Provinces, some have been place for years. Then look at 3rd world countries and cholera outbreaks there from bad water - this report is global.

Me: Yeah but those years suck anyway. *glug glug*
maybe focus on all the plastic those drinks come in that is just as bad for our overall health.
You just choose Coke… and Coke has sugar free options.
Research is starting to show artificial sweeteners are not a free pass.

There is no strong evidence that links artificial sweeteners to cancer.
