Maybe Australia and NZ should claim the whole Tasman Sea as territorial waters. Just like China claims the South China Sea. Then they can rain Chinese lanterns down on them ships..
It’s always a tense situation when military exercises intersect with civilian airspace. Hope the airlines keep a close watch and prioritize safety for all. Let's just hope they keep the fireworks for celebrations, not drills!
The President was informed of the incidents off the coast of Australia. He has requested all flights leaving the U.S. and carrying minority civilians adjust their routes to Australia and go inspect the situation.
That is extremely unlikely. Major trading partners with good relations. But Australia doesn't hesitate to have military ships and aircraft wander around the South China Sea.
